An Analysis of Moral Value in The Karate Kid Movie

Movies are a form of communication that convey moral messages to viewers, influencing their behavior and personality. This study examines the moral values depicted in the movie The Karate Kid, aiming to explore how these values can contribute to the development of positive character in the audience. The research employed a library research method, with data collected through movie viewing, script reading, and documentation. The analysis involved identifying and categorizing moral values, followed by drawing conclusions. The findings reveal several key moral values presented in the film, including honesty, bravery, peaceableness, self-reliance, self-discipline, loyalty, respect, love, kindness, and justice. This study contributes to the understanding of moral education through cinematic works and provides insights for students and researchers interested in literature, film analysis, and character development.
